I undertook a 10-week Graphic Design course at Arts University Bournemouth as part of my drive to better learn how to use the Adobe suite and reaffirm skills I have previously learnt in my UAL Extended Diploma. Below is the work I have produced during my 10-week programme.
Week 1 and 2: How to create mock-ups in Photoshop
Week 3,4 and 5: Travellers Branding and Logotype Experiment
The design brief:
Above is the logo that I designed based on the design brief that we were given. I created something I belive to be fun, based around travel and encompassed the younger audience target.
Below are the two social media posts that I created using the vector logotypes. I didn't have time to do all the designs I wanted but I hope to improve upon and create posts in my own time.
These are magazine advertisements that I created. I learnt how to better use InDesign for this purpose whilst also learning how to place masks in InDesign. The second page I created used a mask to make the image look like a paint stroke across the page and because of this, it is my favourite design of the two.
Week 6: Indesign for surveys and for creating books (Use of Font Types, Spreads and Parent Pages)
Week 7: Creating pie charts from scratch and magazine spreads using Illustrator and Indesign. I also learnt how to use vector files and certain imagery from those vectors to add assets to the indesign magazine spread.
Week 8: Creating vector files
Week 9: Creating Packaging
Week 10: Animation in Photoshop
